No Fun on the Bum Bum!

Diaper rash is no fun for baby's or their parents! To prevent diaper rash from happening, make sure to change baby promptly and not stay in a soiled diaper too long. Be very gentle when wiping to not irritate the skin. Instead of your standard diaper wipe, use "wet wipes" to avoid the alcohol that's in most diaper wipes, further irritating a rash. I like A & D ointment to add in as preventative care but am not a fan once a rash is already present. Once a rash is already present, do all of the above and instead of A &D, go for "butt paste." In my opinion, "butt paste" is the best out there just short of a prescription. A secondary option to "butt paste" if you're dealing with red irritated skin of any kind is to use something that has zinc in it, like desitin. If you don't happen to have "wet wipes" and only have regular diaper wipes, take a break from them and use a warm wet paper towel instead. You can also lay a towel down and let your baby have some diaper free time to help aid in the healing process. In certain breastfeeding cases, mothers will sometimes need to monitor acidic food intake as well.

If all of this seems like a lot of steps, stay tuned for a French product I will be introducing that acts as a diaper wipe, a preventative for rashes, a tool for new moms in their postpartum recovery and so much more!
